Bucking bull named after former Minnesota Twins player, Killabrew
Omaha, Nebraska (April 25, 2017) – Killebrew, a cross-bred bucking bull named after former Minnesota Twins player Harmon Clayton Killebrew is among the animal athletes Barnes PRCA Rodeo Company is bringing to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Last weekend in Madison, Wisconsin during the Midwest Horse Fair & Rodeo Levi Michael Berends from Maynard, Minn. drew the bull. Killebrew bucked off Berends but there is a potential rematch for this weekend. Berends is entered and Killebrew is in the draw.
Marty Barnes, owner of Barnes PRCA Rodeo said, “we are looking forward to good crowds that have fun and safety for our animals and contestants.”
Livestock selected for the 30th National Circuit Finals last month in Kissimmee, Florida included bareback horses – Hawley Falls, Deep Springs and Frankie Scott. The saddle bronc horses included Katie and Red Horse Crossin. All are in the draw for the Minn. Horse Expo PRCA Rodeo this weekend. Red Horse Crossin’ was selected as the 2016 Great Lakes Circuit Saddle Bronc Horse of the Year. This December, she made her fourth consecutive trip to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl of ProRodeo. The bull Butter Biscuit was ridden for paychecks at both the Great Lakes Circuit Finals and RAM National Circuit Finals.
